Vermont Peridontist Receives Honor from the AAP

2007 recipient of a Fellowship Award

CHICAGO—October 30, 2007—Paul A. Levi, Jr., DDS, associate practitioner in Vermont and professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, is a 2007 recipient of the American Academy of Periodontology’s (AAP) Fellowship Award.

“Dr. Levi received the award today at the AAP’s 93rd Annual Meeting in Washington, DC for his outstanding contributions and services to the Academy,” said Preston D. Miller, Jr., DDS, and 2006-2007 president of the AAP.

The Fellowship Award is given annually in recognition of distinguished service to the Academy in more than one area. The award is funded by Procter & Gamble Professional Oral Health.

Dr. Levi has served on multiple committees for the AAP including the Membership and Awards Committee, the Professional Partnership Programming committee, and the Nominating committee. He is president of the AAP Foundation which is a 501(c)3 public charity and the only organization of its kind designed exclusively to serve the community of periodontal caregivers and patients. He served as Moderator, Assistant, and Head Assistant at the AAP Annual Meetings from 1971 – 2000. He also served as a District I trustee for the AAP.
