Dr. Douglass maintains a full-time private periodontal practice in Sacramento and Folsum, California.
CHICAGO – September 25, 2002 – The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) installed Gordon L. Douglass, D.D.S. as president at its 88th Annual Meeting in New Orleans. He maintains a full-time private periodontal practice in Sacramento and Folsum, CA.
An AAP member since 1973, Douglass has been active on several AAP committees. Currently he serves as chair of the Finance Committee, chair of the Committee on Constitution and Bylaws and chair of the Task Force to Develop an Outcomes Assessment Program.
He also serves on the Planning Committee, Task Force to Consider World Workshop and Executive Committee.
In addition to his activities with the AAP, Douglass has served as president of the California Society of Peridontics and president of the Sacramento District Dental Society. He also is a part-time educator and clinical researcher.
Douglass received his dental degree and his certificate in periodontics from the University of Washington in 1969 and 1973 respectively.
