AAP's Technology Forum 2001 Helps Professionals Evaluate Practice and Clinical Technologies
The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) will host Technology Forum 2001,
October 6, 2001, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
CHICAGO – August 20, 2001 – The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) will host Technology Forum 2001,
October 6, 2001, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
This all-day event, sponsored by Procter & Gamble, starts at 8:00 a.m., includes lunch, and concludes with a
cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m. A special Technology Forum Exhibit Hall will be open to Technology Forum 2001
attendees in conjunction with the Saturday session, during breaks, at lunch, and during the cocktail reception. Attendees will
receive information to help them evaluate practice and clinical management software systems and add-ons for their individual practices.
Nationally recognized technology experts and contributing editors to Dental Practice Report, Barry Freydberg, DDS,
and Claudio Levato, DDS, will present an entire day using current systems and will be available immediately following
the presentation and the following morning to serve as personal technology shoppers.
Technology Forum 2001 is a perfect solution for periodontists and dentists trying to address practice technology issues.
Specific topics to be covered include:
- the evolution of practice technology
- technology in the operatory
- the paperless practice
- clinical imaging and periodontal charting technologies
- integrating and networking technology

Freydberg and Levato are recognized experts in the use and integration of dental practice and clinical technologies. Both graduates of the
University of Illinois College of Dentistry, Freydberg and Levato lecture extensively for the American Dental Association and Academy of General
Dentistry, and are considered pioneers in raising dentists' awareness of the ever-growing link between high technology and practice management.
Freydberg founded and currently practices in a multi-specialty group practice, and Levato established a restorative practice where he focuses on
cosmetic and prosthetic dentistry. They both reside in suburban Chicago.
