The AAP Foundation will sponsor fundraising events at the meeting October 30-November 2 in Honolulu.

Fundraising activities at the Annual Meeting in Honolulu support the Foundation's education and research initiatives. Be sure to stop by the AAP Foundation booth at the meeting to learn more about the dividends resulting from your investment in the specialty. Most of the events below require signup when you register for the meeting.

GOLF TOURNAMENT

Saturday, October 30
6:45 am bus departure, 8:00 am tee time
Ko’olau Golf Club
Cost: $285 per person
Limited attendance event
Join AAP Foundation President Jack Caton and Vice President Bryan Frantz and experience a spectacular combination of scenery, championship golf, and world-class facilities. Ko’olau Golf Club and the style of play offers challenging fun for golfers of every skill level. This Dick Nugent designed course features winding ravines, extreme elevation changes, three distinct climates and numerous cruelly placed sand bunkers. All golfers will receive tournament shirts, complimentary golf accessories, starter snacks and lunch, and a chance to win fabulous prizes for a hole-in-one! The registration fee is $285 per player and includes round-trip transportation. Deluxe motor coaches will depart from the Hilton Hawaiian Village at 6:45 am.

The information presented will be of interest to periodontists in all stages of their professional lives and their spouses.

KRAMER FUND DONOR RECEPTION

Cost: $100
Guests will have the opportunity to meet the 2010 Kramer Scholar and finalists and previous Scholars over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $100 each for this special celebration of the Foundation’s first named award. Proceeds will benefit the Kramer Fund.

SHHHHH! SILENT AUCTION IN PROGRESS

Periodontists and spouses are invited to place bids on the more than 100 products and services offered. Items for bid include everything from dental equipment to unique fashion accessories to vacation stays! Have fun supporting the Foundation, outbidding your colleagues and scooping up bargains. Companies and individuals donating items will receive contact/shipping information for the winning bidders immediately after receipt of payment. The auction opens at 3:00 pm, Friday, October 29, and bids close at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 2.
