Dr. William Giannobile Elected to AAP Foundation Board

The election took place at the AAPF's Board of Directors meeting in San Francisco.

CHICAGO, November 29, 2003 – William V. Giannobile, D.D.S., was elected to his first three-year term on the board of directors by the board of the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. His election took place at the board's annual meeting in San Francisco in September. Dr. Giannobile is Director, Clinical Research Center, at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he is also an associate professor in the Department of Periodontics/Prevention/Geriatrics.

Dr. Giannobile holds his Certificate in Periodontology and D.Med.Sc. from Harvard. He received his D.D.S. from the University of Missouri. His numerous awards include the AAP Foundation Bud and Linda Tarrson Fellowship, a career development award which he received in 1998.
