CHICAGO—July 12, 2006—The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Foundation recently awarded the first AAP Foundation Education Fellowship Funded by
Dr. Hur’s research seeks to develop evidence-based information to better predict therapeutic outcomes by studying various risk factors involved in periodontal disease. His project title is “Comparison of a clinical risk assessment using a risk calculator based on genetic and microbiologic analysis: Evaluation of treatment outcomes in a periodontal treatment population.” He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Oral Health and certificate in Periodontology.
