AAP Foundation Elects Officer Slate

The election took place at the AAPF's Board of Directors meeting in San Francisco.

CHICAGO, December 1, 2004 – The American Academy of Periodontology Foundation board of directors elected its officer slate at its November 12 meeting in Orlando.

S. Jerome Zackin, DMD, of Swampscott, Massachusetts, and Sarasota, Florida, was elected to a second one-year term as president; Edward P. (Pat) Allen, DDS, of Dallas, Texas, was elected to a second term as vice-president; and Paul Levi, DMD, of Burlington, Vermont, was elected to a second term as secretary-treasurer. Joining the board is Kenneth Krebs, DMD, of Wilmette, Illinois.

About AAP Foundation: The mission of the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation is to improve the periodontal and general health of the public through increasing public and professional knowledge of periodontal diseases and their therapies, stimulating basic and clinical research to generate new knowledge, and enhancing educational programs at all levels to create opportunities in periodontal education and practice.
