AAP Foundation Elects Officer Slate

The election took place at the AAPF's Board of Directors meeting in San Diego.

CHICAGO—October 19, 2006—The American Academy of Periodontology Foundation board of directors elected its officer slate at its September 15 meeting in San Diego.

Paul Levi, D.M.D., of Burlington, Vermont, was elected president; Michael McGuire, D.D.S., of Houston, Texas, was elected vice-president; and Robert T. Ferris, D.D.S., Ph.D., of Altamont Springs, Florida, was elected secretary-treasurer. Joining the board was Susan Karabin, D.D.S., of New York City, who as president-elect of the American Academy of Periodontology serves on the Foundation board. Michael Barnett, D.D.S., of Williamsville, New York, was elected to the board and Dr. McGuire, Allan Charles, D.D.S., of Pasadena, California, and William V. Giannobile, D.D.S., of Ann Arbor, Michigan, were re-elected to their second three-year terms.
