CHICAGO – November 5, 2001 – The American Academy of Periodontology Foundation re-elected S. Jerome
Zackin received his B.A. with Honors and Distinction in Biology from Wesleyan University, and his
Until 1998, Zackin maintained a private practice in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He has held hospital appointments at Holy Family in Methuen, Massachusetts, and Lawrence General (Lawrence, Massachusetts) and currently holds honorary appointments at both institutions.
Zackin also has held numerous positions with the American Academy of Periodontology, where he served on the board of trustees from 1986 to 1992. He received a Fellowship Award from the Academy in 1994 and is also a Fellow in the American College of Dentists. Dr. Zackin has been a periodontal consultant to Delta Dental Plan of Massachusetts and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
