AAP Foundation Elects Edward P. Allen Vice-President

CHICAGO, November 29, 2003 – The American Academy of Periodontology Foundation elected Edward P. (“Pat”) Allen, DDS, to a one-year term as vice-president at its board of directors meeting in San Francisco in September. He also was re-elected to a second three-year term as a director. Dr. Allen is a clinical professor of periodontics at Baylor University College of Dentistry and maintains a periodontal practice in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Allen received his DDS and completed a residency in periodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry (now part of the Texas A&M system). He earned a Ph.D. in physiology from Baylor University Graduate School (Waco). In 1999 Dr. Allen received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Baylor College of Dentistry Periodontics Residency Program and in 2002 he was presented with the Master Clinician Award from the American Academy of Periodontology.
