Online Journal of Periodontology and Annals of Periodontology Registration and Activation Procedures for Institutional Subscribers

To access full text articles on the site, AAP members and subscribers must register then activate their online subscriptions.
  1. Go to www.joponline.org.

  2. Click “Institutional subscribers (librarian)” in the box that says "Paid Subscribers/AAP Members Only – First-Time Visit to This Site.”

  3. Click “Register now.”

  4. Provide all required information (denoted by an asterisk), including typing the word in the photo box, then click the grey “Submit” button.

  5. You are now on the activation page. You need to do two things:
    • Type “yes” in the “Before you activate” box.
    • Enter your subscription ID number in the “Activation code” box. (If you do not know your subscription ID number, e-mail orders@perio.org.)

  6. Click the grey “Activate” button.
    PLEASE NOTE: Ignore the message regarding “Access Tokens.” You have already entered your subscription number. Access tokens do not apply to institutions.

  7. Click the grey “IP ranges” tab.

  8. Provide a description and type all the IP address ranges for your institution (sample formats are provided to the right under “Examples”).

  9. Click on grey “Add IP ranges” button.
    IMPORTANT: If you do not click “Add IP ranges,” the information will not be captured by the system and will be lost!

  10. You can now sign out and anyone at your institution, within the IP range you indicated, will be able to access the online Journal via www.joponline.org.
