Meeting CE Credits
Generate a record of CE credits that you earned at the meeting and can submit to your state board. After you log in with your last name and zip code, you will need to enter the 4-digit pass code provided by the instructor of each CE session you attended at the meeting.

Meeting Refund Policy
Refund requests due to emergencies or other serious events (including Hurricane Gustav) will receive a one-time “use it or lose it” credit toward the 2009 Annual Meeting, less a $100 administrative fee, for all registered meeting events. A refund must be requested in writing and mailed, faxed or e-mailed by October 9, 2008, to:

Innovations in Periodontics
Abstract Submission Deadline: October 21, 2008
These 1.5-hour sessions offer presentations that address innovations and advances in clinical periodontics, basic sciences or related subjects. Each session consists of four individual speakers who give 15-minute presentations on a very specific topic, followed by a 5-minute question-and-answer period. Speakers are selected by a blind review of abstracts submitted to the Academy. Abstract Submission Guidelines

Research Forum Poster Session
Abstract Submission Begins 1st Quarter of 2009
The Research Forum provides a platform for clinical or basic research to be presented by those in the field of periodontics. Poster presentations will be on display at the Annual Meetingwith a cash prize awarded to the best in both clinical and basic research. In addition, one poster presenter will be awarded the new AAP Clinical Impact Award, given to the presenter whose research has the greatest potential for changing and improving periodontal health and patient care.

Balint Orban Competition
Abstract Submission Begins 1st Quarter of 2009
The Orban Competition is open to individuals currently enrolled in an accredited graduate or postgraduate program in periodontics (United States or Canada) or those who completed their training no more than 18 months prior to the 2009 Annual Meeting (i.e., May 2008).
