AAP Annual Meeting Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorship enables companies that market periodontal products or services to enhance their connection with Academy members.

The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) is an 8,000-member association of dental professionals specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the gums and supporting structures of the teeth; and in the placement and maintenance of dental implants. The Academy is dedicated to advancing the art and science of periodontics and improving the periodontal health of the public.

The Annual Meeting provides Academy members the opportunity to attend world-class state-of-the-science continuing education courses, network with colleagues from down the street and around the globe, and learn about current products and technologies through corporate participation in special industry sessions and the meeting exhibition. Professional attendance at the AAP Annual Meeting is typically 2,800 to 3,000 periodontists. The number of periodontists attending the 2007 meeting in Washington, D.C., topped 6,000. Companies that market periodontal dental-directed products, equipment, or services may want to consider the following sponsorship opportunities to enhance their communication and connection with Academy members.

All sponsorship opportunities include standard acknowledgement of the sponsorship via the advance and on-site programs, on-site signage, and the AAP newsletter and Web site. As applicable, additional acknowledgement options are noted in the sponsorship opportunity description.
